“My soul magnifies the Lord for the wonders he has done in my life.”
May 9, 2026, remains the most memorable day in our lives as we, Sisters Mary Meena Kujur, Sumani, Wanmin, and Monica Prema, pronounced our Final Vows in the presence of priests, sisters, friends, and family members.
On May 8th, an inspiring evening prayer prepared by Sisters Mary Crecencia and Salomi created a peaceful and reflective atmosphere, helping us prepare our hearts for the sacred commitment we were about to make. The whole community prayed for us along with our family members. The following day at 7:00 a.m., the solemn Eucharistic celebration began with Most Rev. Archbishop Sebastian Kallupura as the main celebrant. Many priests from neighboring communities and parishes were also present. The Archbishop’s inspiring and meaningful homily touched our hearts deeply. He reminded us that religious life is a journey of love, faithfulness, sacrifice, and joyful surrender to God’s call. His words encouraged us to remain rooted in prayer and to continue witnessing God’s love through our lives and mission.
It was a deeply moving and emotional experience for each one of us as we offered ourselves completely to God with joyful hearts. Throughout the celebration, we experienced God’s presence in a tangible way. We were blessed by the loving presence and encouragement of our Provincial, Sister Mary Alice; our Tertian Directress, Sister Mary Sujita; our Sisters from different communities; and the family members whose guidance, prayers, and accompaniment helped us journey towards this momentous day. Their support, love, and prayers give us strength and confidence to move forward.
The Patna community lovingly organized everything with great dedication and generosity. Every arrangement was made beautifully and thoughtfully, making the celebration vibrant and joyful. After the Mass, a delicious breakfast was served, and many sisters, priests, relatives, and well-wishers came forward to congratulate and bless us. The atmosphere was filled with happiness, smiles, gratitude, and thanksgiving to God. Indeed, it was an unforgettable celebration, a day filled with grace, unity, love, and joy that will remain forever etched in our hearts.
