From January 15 to 24, the junior Sisters of the Regina Province gathered and shared a precious time of fellowship.
During this gathering, we participated in a special six-day labyrinth retreat led by Sr. Maria Monica. The retreat centered on the theme, “The Road to Emmaus.” Walking quietly inward toward the center and then returning outward through the labyrinth became a grace-filled journey of walking with Jesus and encountering Him.
During the evening liturgies held together in the labyrinth, various forms of active prayer, such as line dancing and the recitation of our mission statements, helped our hearts turn more fully toward the Lord and deepened our prayer experience.
The day after the retreat, we spent our time organizing the third floor of the former formation house, a place filled with many cherished memories. As we carefully sorted through our belongings together, we shared stories from our time in the postulancy, which helped ease our sense of nostalgia.
On the outing day, our first activity was a visit to a pottery studio We experienced working on the potter’s wheel and shaping clay with our own hands. We were struck by the realization that, just like in spiritual life, finding and maintaining one’s center is essential in pottery as well.
Our second visit was to the National Memorial Museum of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea. There, we offered prayers of gratitude for those who sacrificed their lives for our country and spent meaningful time deepening our understanding of Korea’s history.
As we conclude these ten days together, we give thanks for God’s infinite grace and providence bestowed upon us, and we also express our heartfelt gratitude to all the sisters who kept us in their prayers. We resolve to share the love we have received through prayer and to continue living as religious who always move forward.
