On April 26, a Vocations Sunday event was held at Incheon Catholic University for the youth of the Incheon Diocese. Together with Sister Marie Vera, Sister Marie Clementine, and Sister Agneta Maria, Sister Marie Philipa, who is responsible for vocation promotion, introduced the life of the Sisters of Notre Dame through a variety of creative programs.
More than 370 altar servers and children from Sunday schools representing several parishes attended the event, accompanied by their parents, volunteers, seminarians, and many religious. Following the Mass, celebrated by Bishop John the Baptist Jung, participants enjoyed an uplifting experience as they discovered God’s hidden gifts within themselves.
Through conversations with religious and seminarians the young participants also had a valuable opportunity to reflect on the question, “What kind of life should I live in the future?” It was a grace-filled day that reminded everyone once again that a holy vocation is not limited to becoming priests or religious. The vocational call is also a call to live a life of service and love as lay people whether at home, in the workplace, or in other communities.
