It was with great excitement and joy that we, the three Indonesian and five Indian tertian sisters, began our three-month journey together in Bangalore, India. Once gathered. we quickly formed a joyful and united community. Our international tertianship has been marked by warm intercultural solidarity and a deep appreciation for our shared charism, spirit, and mission.
For the five tertians from India, this journey followed the completion of a four-month Certificate Course in Theology at St. Peter’s Pontifical Seminary in Bangalore. This period of study was a profound experience of grace, learning, and spiritual deepening.
For the three tertians from Indonesia, the tertiate had begun earlier, on July 28, 2025, with a rich and formative programme at the Roncalli Institute. The diverse courses and intercultural experiences there provided deep insights into consecrated life and strengthened our response to God’s call.
Before joining the group in Bangalore, the three Indonesian tertians arrived in India two weeks early. During this time, we visited several communities of the Assumption Province in North India and met many of our sisters. Participation in the Jubilee celebration in Patna was a special blessing, as it provided an opportunity to encounter many sisters from across the Province and to share in a spirit of joy and gratitude.
Our days were filled with meaningful times of prayer, reflection, study of the Constitutions, sessions on discernment, communication, and daily spiritual conversation, under the guidance of Sr. Mary Sujita. We also benefited from sessions on Gospel Leadership, Child Protection, and Mental Health, led by experts, as well as a Zoom session on Psycho-Sexual Integration facilitated by Sr. M. Karuna. Sr. M. Kripa’s well-planned classes on the history of our congregation inspired us to love and cherish our beloved congregation more deeply.
Life in the Provincial House has been a grace-filled blend of prayer, study, community living, and simple shared duties. Memorable moments include our pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Health, visits to nearby communities, and a weekend trip to Mysore, where we enjoyed the hospitality of our sisters in our three communities there. We also visited several historic sites, including the majestic Mysore Palace.
We are deeply grateful to our superiors in the three provinces for providing us with the opportunity to experience international tertiate. We are delighted to support one another as young sisters in our congregation.
