On June 10, 2017, seven Novices from Africa responded to the Lord’s call and made their First Profession during a solemn Eucharistic celebration in the International Novitiate, Njiro, Arusha. Four Sisters from Uganda, Sisters Maria Juliet, Sarah Marie, Mary Hellen, Mary Lilian; two from Tanzania, Sister Mary Romana, Sister Mary Magdalena; and one from Kenya, Sister Mary Petronilla.

All of them had their family members, parish associates and neighborhoods represented. It was a joy-filled day with much singing, dancing and a sumptuous meal. The newly professed Sisters were glad to have the presence of Sister Mary Sreeja and Sister Maria Nonata from the Generalate, Rome, for this auspicious occasion.

(Shown in the picture with the seven newly professed Sisters are Sister Mary Roshini, the Delegation Superior, Sister Mary Jyosita, the Director of Novices, Sister Mary Sreeja, Sister Maria Nonata, and Sister Mary Shobha, the Director of Temporary Professed.)
