From May 19 to June 17, Incheon Regina Pacis Province had a general visitation.
Sister Mary Ann came along with the first general assistant, Sister Marie So-Wha, the assistants, Sister Mary Kathleen, and Sister Mary Prabha, for this visit, making it even more enriching. During this time, they visited several ministry locations in Incheon Province where they prayed together, shared the life experience of the sisters there, as well as other units. These visits offered a good opportunity for them to get to know and understand Korea and the province better and for us to learn the congregational vision more clearly and to deepen the spirit of our shared mission.
In addition to visiting communities and ministries, our sisters from the generalate held meetings with the Junior Sisters and associates and traveled to cultural heritage sites in Korea, which gave them a taste of the beautiful tradition of the country.
Attending the final profession of three Vietnamese Sisters and celebrating the 20th anniversary of ND’s presence in Vietnam, which began with sisters from Incheon Province, was a special joy during the visitation. During the visit to China, they also had the time to appreciate the Chinese community and further reaffirm our responsibility by experiencing firsthand our sisters’ lives and environment there.
Over about a month, the sisters from the generalate naturally grew accustomed to Korean culture and shared sisterhood with us, nurturing our spirit for our common mission. We will continue to deepen our unity by praying for them. We want to express our thanks to all the sisters, associates, and collaborators who offered help and service for this visitation.
