The purpose of making June 25 the patronal feast day of Regina Pacis Province is to pray for true peace and stability for our country, which is still suffering from division because of the Korean War. This day also reflects our wish to become SNDs who bring genuine peace and salvation inspired by the Fiat of Our Lady, Regina Pacis.
In the context of the Jubilee Year of the Church and the 175th anniversary of our congregation under the theme of “Pilgrims of Hope and Gratitude,” Regina Pacis Province had a joyful and grateful feast day. Since June 16, we have chosen ‘Peace’ as our theme and prepared ourselves for the day with a novena for world peace—peace in each community and peace among our neighbors.
Two Korean sisters who made their first profession in April and two Vietnamese sisters who are learning Korean created an entertaining program entitled “The 58th Patronal Feast Day in the 175th Congregational Anniversary, Pilgrims of Hope and Gratitude,” which gave us a delightful time and united us. We closed the day with a beautiful night prayer, asking Regina Pacis’ intercession for peace and offering our hearts with lit candles.
Like the lyrics of the song we sang during the recreational program, “Let us walk into peace with hope in our heart in the light of the Lord,” we prayed that our prayers and love may spread hope to the world.
We are deeply grateful to all the sisters from the ND world for their congratulatory messages on our patronal feast day, and we share the peace of our Lord with them.
