On April 26, 2025, there was a Eucharistic celebration by Fr. Dominico Son from the Incheon Diocese for Sr. Agneta Maria and Sr. Maria Mattie, who were making their first profession. Our two Sisters’ vows in the year of our 175th anniversary became even more meaningful as we thought of our two co-foundresses who responded to God’s call 175 years ago.
Since they entered, the Sisters spent their candidacy and postulancy in Korea and lived their pre-novitiate and novitiate for three years in the international formation house in the Philippines. After experiencing our good God’s providence every day in that unfamiliar language, culture, and environment, they are now full of enthusiasm to invite many more young people to this life and happy experiences through their mottos:
Sr. Agneta Maria’s motto is “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Mt. 4,19).
Sr. Maria Mattie’s is “Like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house. (1Pt 2,5)”
The mother of one of the two Sisters expressed how truly happy she was to raise her daughter and would dedicate that happiness and joy to Jesus. The two Sisters are the joy and hope of the Incheon province as well as the entire congregation and church. We ask for your prayers that they may continue to commit themselves to bringing God’s love to the world through their lives of joy and hope.
