Budi Rahayu General Hospital in Pekalongan reached a significant milestone: it marked half a century of dedication to healthcare while launching a new chapter with the groundbreaking of Building A.
On May 14, the hospital officially commenced construction on Building A, a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance service quality and provide modern patient care. The event, attended by hospital leadership, staff, and guests, was opened with a blessing led by Fr. Carolus Borromeus Kusmaryanto, SCJ (The Priests of the Sacred Heart), emphasizing that service and love are at the heart of healthcare. “This building exists to improve service, and the foundation of everything is LOVE,” he stated. The expansion reflects the hospital’s ongoing commitment to excellence in healthcare.
On May 15, the following day, Budi Rahayu General Hospital marked its 50th anniversary with a touching ceremony at Nirwana Hotel in Pekalongan. The theme, “Collaborating to Enhance Service with LOVE (Caring, Innovation, Transformation),” reflected the hospital’s evolution since its establishment in 1975 by the Sisters of Notre Dame to its current accomplishments. The event included a Thanksgiving Mass officiated by Rev. Suspicius Parjono, General Vicar of the Diocese. Following the Mass, festivities continued with a video presentation of the hospital’s history and recognition of employees who have served for 25 years.
Fifty years is a significant milestone. A hospital representative shared that we are thankful for every step we have taken together, facing challenges, nurturing hopes, and receiving blessings. The anniversary concluded with vibrant celebrations, reaffirming the hospital’s commitment to holistic and compassionate care.
Budi Rahayu General Hospital continues expanding and developing its new vision: it remains committed to its motto: Prima melayani, Tulus Mengasihi (Excellent Service, Sincere Love), ensuring quality healthcare for the community for generations to come.
