This mission-driven project aims to promote the holistic and sustainable development of marginalized Maha Dalit (Manjhi) adolescent girls in Sheikhpura District through education, protection, and life skills development. It focuses on girls aged 9–14 years who have completed one year of Residential Special Training at Mahila Shikshan Kendra (MSK) and are at high risk of discontinuing their education due to extreme poverty, single-parent households, orphanhood, or family migration. The project supports girls from families vulnerable to migration by providing them with residential care at MSK and enrolling them in age-appropriate classes at nearby government schools.
The Hostel provides a safe and supportive environment where the girls can continue their education without interruption. Through residential facilities, academic support, and focused remedial learning, the girls are enabled to complete their schooling and move toward higher secondary education. Special attention is being given to ensure regular attendance, improved learning outcomes, and facilitate a smooth integration into the formal school system.
Through this integrated approach, MSK seeks to break the cycle of poverty, exclusion, and early school dropout among disadvantaged girls in Sheikhpura district, Bihar. The project will create a strong foundation for their education, empowerment, and long-term social and economic development.
On 19 July 2026, at the 18th Annual Taekwondo Championship of Sheikhpura District held at Sanskar Public School, the Residential Special Training girls from the MSK program (out-of-school girls receiving intensive coaching to rejoin appropriate age grades) made MSK, Mashal, proud. The team won 4 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze medal, demonstrating courage, discipline, and teamwork.
Sister Mary Udaya served as Chief Guest, and Mr. Vinod Kumar, Principal of Sanskar Public School, joined her in honoring the young athletes. Their success highlights the transformative power of focused training and faith-based support in empowering girls to overcome barriers and excel in both sports and education.
