The Concrete Gesture Project is carried out each year by the Physical Therapy Clinics of the Notre Dame Hospitals to celebrate Physiotherapist Day. The project consists of collecting and distributing toys, food, school supplies, and hygiene items to people in socially vulnerable situations. This year, 250 children benefited from the collected materials.

With emotion, the project coordinator, physiotherapist Sister Margarete Cerutti, speaks about the delivery of the material: “This year, our joy was even greater. To see the smiles of the children, both on the day we delivered the kits as well as on the day we held the Health Fair, made us realize the significance of our campaign. We felt that, with each delivery, we were giving back the affection and attention we had received from the sponsoring companies. Without them, nothing would have been possible.”

To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the project, a Health Fair was held in front of the Notre Dame Julie Billiart Hospital. The aim of the fair was to promote multi-professional teamwork, offering workshops on health and environmental care as well as providing lab tests to the general public.

A large group of children also attended the event. Their attention during the workshops reflected the hope of a better and more well informed society.
