The Apostolic Orientation Program (AOP) 2025, conducted in Patna, India, concluded in December 2025 after five months of intense learning and spiritual growth. This program began on July 1, 2025, with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr. James George, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Patna. In his inspiring message, he reminded the participants that “true progress comes not from merely identifying mistakes, but from courageously correcting them with faith and determination.” In her orientation presentation, Sr. Mary Alice, Provincial Superior, encouraged us to embrace the program with enthusiasm and an open mind for growth.
The curriculum emphasized both academic excellence and skill development, covering subjects like English, Mathematics, Psychology, Catechism, and Health Education. In addition, extra-curricular activities, including poem recitation, storytelling, and general knowledge competitions, fostered self-confidence, creativity, and communication skills.
Educational tours further enriched the learning experience by broadening the participants’ understanding of history, science, and culture. Classroom observations provided a valuable understanding of teaching strategies, classroom management, and value-based education. Peer teaching sessions, guided by Sr. Mary Tessy and Sr. Renu, further enhanced teaching competence and confidence.
Living in a vibrant community of Sisters offered many opportunities for personal growth through prayer, celebrations, and daily interactions. The lived witness of our dedicated missionaries serves as a constant source of inspiration. As part of the program exhibition, participants showcased creative teaching aids, models, and activity-based resources reflecting their commitment to child-centered learning.
The program concluded with a meaningful Graduation Ceremony, during which participants received certificates and lit candles, symbolizing their commitment to teaching, loving, and serving. We express our heartfelt gratitude to Sr. Mary Tessy for her thoughtful planning, guidance, dedication, and commitment to our formation. We also extend our sincere appreciation to all the Sister-teachers for their generous support throughout this educational journey.
The AOP 2025 has been a transformative experience, shaping us intellectually, spiritually, and emotionally to be committed educators, ready to make a difference in the world.
