Chapter members have been blessed to start each day with mass in the large Chapel in Kolping Bildungsstätte. Chapter members from each Province or Delegation have taken turns planning each day’s liturgy – choosing songs, providing ambiance and leading the singing. Today, October 12, the Sisters from Brazil and in particular the Canoas Province led us in worship to celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Aparecida, patroness of Brazil and of the Canoas Province. At the conclusion of the mass, participants processed from the Chapel to the Chapter room where a statue of Our Lady of Aparecida was placed near the altar display in the Chapter room. On Saturdays, Chapter members have joined the Sisters at Kloster Annenthal for liturgy.
The structure of the Chapter has allowed participants to work in various groups and get to know one another. Most mornings, Chapter participants gather in faith sharing groups to pray with the Gospel of the day and share how it is speaking to them during these chapter days. “I am deeply touched by the insights and prayer that I have shared among the Sisters in my faith sharing group. The Spirit is speaking through the experiences and reflections of each of us. It is a blessed way to start the day!”
