At 9 a.m. on June 4, Fr. Francico Park, OCD (Order of Discalced Carmelites), officiated the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction and partial remodeling of the Incheon Provincial House. Sister Marie Justina, the provincial, Sister Marie Ignazia, coordinator of the Provincial House, and Sister Maria Cecilia were present, praying for the successful and safe completion of the work. Also in attendance were the CEO of BooWoon Construction and the director of UDA (United Designers of Architecture), both companies responsible for the project, the head of the Notre Dame Welfare Center, and other guests, all united in heart for the project’s safety and success.
The construction, which began under God’s blessing, is progressing smoothly. As of July 6, the work is focused on pouring ready-mixed concrete for the foundation of the new wing. With the safety of the neighboring community as the top priority, the province has carefully arranged for users of the Welfare Center and kindergarten children to participate in more outdoor activities during construction, as both facilities are adjacent to the construction site. Despite the challenges posed by the monsoon rains, we pray that, under God’s care and protection, the project will continue to progress well.
