It takes seven notes to make a song! On Saturday, 10th May 2014 a new song was created when seven East African sisters professed their first vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. Each newly professed sister’s prayer was “Lord, May I be a song of praise to you.” Reverend Father Peddy Castelino, SVD was the main celebrant. In his homily he challenged those making profession and their parents to accept the cross as they follow Jesus. We rejoice with the newly professed as they say “yes” to picking up their cross daily and following Jesus in the Congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame.
The newly professed end their thank you to the sister, parents, friends and benefactors with two of their favorite quotes.
“The dear God has always taken care and will certainly continue to do so.”
Our Foundress, Sister Mary Aloysia, SND
“May God alone possess your undivided heart without reserve and forever.”
