After having an enriching experience visiting the roots of our congregation in Germany and the Netherlands, our Korean pilgrim sisters arrived in Rome on June 16, 2015. The Sisters of the Motherhouse community were delighted to welcome seven sisters from the Incheon Province, South Korea.

The pilgrims have already begun their pilgrimage in Rome by visiting some of the magnificent Basilicas among them is St. Peter’s Basilica, where the first apostle is buried. In this eternal city they also will have an audience with Pope Francis and travel to Assisi. The religious art and architecture of Rome and Assisi and staying with the international community at the Motherhouse can definitely create a pilgrimage experience for the sisters.

20150621_Rome_KorPilgrims_03_w630Under the coordination of Sister Marie Emma the Sisters at the Motherhouse community take turns guiding the pilgrims to the sacred places of our faith and to historic sites of Rome.
