August 15 was a joyful day as we celebrated the final vows of three sisters: Srs. Maria Josephine, Maria Venidora, and Maria Angelina. The celebration was held in Saint Peter Parish Church, Warak, Sleman-Yogyakarta, where one of our community and educational ministries, St. Michael Senior High School and the boarding school for boys and girls, is located.

The celebration began at 5:00 p.m. with Fr. Agung, MSF (Missionaries of the Holy Family) as the principal celebrant and seven other priests as co-celebrants. It was a solemn celebration filled with lively songs offered by the choir of teachers and students of Saint Aloysius Junior High School in Denggung, Sleman-Yogyakarta.

In his homily, Fr. Agung emphasized the importance of working in God’s field with love, echoing the sisters’ life motto, ” Let all that you do be done in love ” (1 Corinthians 16:14).

Before the final blessing, Sr. Maria Josephine’s father delivered a heartfelt message, urging the three sisters to remain faithful as Sisters of Notre Dame.

The three sisters who courageously professed perpetual vows had experienced six months of tertiate. During that time they studied, reflected, shared, and integrated their activities in various communities to strengthen and nourish their vocation.

After the Eucharistic celebration, all guests were invited to a social gathering, and the junior sisters provided stands for vocation promotion for the youth who attended the festival.
