Perpetual Profession, Assumption Province
May 31st was a very significant day for us as seven enthusiastic sisters pronounced their final “Yes” to God in our Notre Dame Chapel, Patna. It was truly an awe-inspiring moment as our dear sisters Mary Ankita, Rajeshree, Lucy Minj, Renu, Leena Mary, Sadhana and Sanjita were led to the Altar with music and dance witnessed by the Archbishop, William D’ Souza, priests, sisters, parents, parishners, relatives and friends. His Excellency, William D’Souza, S.J., Archbishop of Patna, was the main celebrant. In his homily he elaborated on the theme: “Encountering Word and engaging the world” adding new meaning and expression to it. The entire ceremony was power packed with a touch of grace and peace. We were very pleased that the parents and relatives of the Sisters could be present for this momentous occasion.
Overwhelmed by God’s goodness and faithful love they expressed their heartfelt gratitude and great appreciation towards our dear Good God for their call to Notre Dame. We are grateful to God for planting the seeds of vocation in the hearts of these seven young, lively and spirit-filled Sisters who chose to be the permanent members of our congregation and dedicate themselves to incarnate God’s love, goodness, and provident care in the lives of God’s people, especially the poor and the marginalized. We wish God’s blessing, guidance, and wisdom in their pilgrimage of life.
Hearty Congratulations to you dear Sisters Mary Rajeshree, Lucy Minj, Leena Mary, Sanjita, Renu, Sadhana, Ankita!!!
