On Aug. 24, 2024, the Mass for Sr. Luce Maria’s first profession was celebrated by Fr. Athanasius Park of Incheon diocese. It was all the more meaningful to have a new SND on Bartholomew’s feast day, since he said to Jesus, “You are the Son of God and the king of Israel,” after the Lord recognized his longing for Messiah.
Sr. Luce entered the Congregation in June 2019. After spending her candidacy and postulancy in Korea, she had three years of international postulancy and novitiate with other formees from Indonesia, PNG and Vietnam in the international formation house in Bataan, Philippines.
Despite several delays in her entry into the international novitiate due to the COVID-19 pandemic some years ago, sister overcame the lengthy uncertainties and now happily made her first vows.
Having chosen, “I have come to bring fire to the earth” (Luke 12,49) as her motto, she resolved to dedicate herself to the mission of the church and the Congregation for the love of Christ.
Please pray that she may become good news to the world as Jesus’ woman disciple.
