On February 2, 2025, Shalom Sadan Community celebrated a remarkable milestone, marking 175 years of unwavering commitment to the mission. The Jubilee ceremony brought together the family members of our sisters in the community, sisters from Formation House, and sisters from Aloysia Study House to honor the organization’s legacy and recognize the tireless efforts of its dedicated team.
The celebration began with a Holy Eucharistic Celebration at 6.30 am, thanking the good God for His outpouring of blessings upon all of us in the congregation and on our family members. At 11.30 am, we gathered in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament to adore, praise, and give thanks to the Lord. During the adoration, we reflected on the past, gave thanks for the present, and looked forward to the future with hope and trust.
In the stillness of this adoration, each family member thanked the good God for the gift of our Congregation and offered an offering as a token of appreciation. After the adoration, as we gathered in the Community Room. Sr. M. Rosilin, superior of Shalom Sadan Community, welcomed all of us, and reflected on the organization’s humble beginnings and its remarkable journey over the decades. “Today, we gather to celebrate not just a milestone, but the collective efforts of countless individuals who have contributed to our success,” she said.
We presented all our family members and sisters with a short video on “Notre Dame through the Pages of History.” As a token of appreciation, we presented each family with a mug symbolizing growth, harmony, and the nurturing spirit that defines Notre Dame. The gesture was met with heartfelt gratitude and smiles.
The gathering culminated with games and songs accompanied by a delicious meal. All enjoyed the meals and mingled, sharing stories and memories of their journey together in Notre Dame.
The 175th Jubilee celebration with family members served as a testament to Notre Dame’s enduring legacy and the power of collective effort.
