In the course of time, the following words became more and more the motto of my life:

AMEN

Blessing and glory,

wisdom and thanksgiving,

honor and power and might

be to our God for ever and ever.

The first AMEN was said to me as a human being – as a gift of God – by my parents and the people in my environment, especially my grandfather and my Aunt Lisbeth. THANK YOU!

As I was growing, the circle of those who spoke this AMEN for me or with me became greater and greater:

Siblings – relatives – acquaintances – teachers – educators

and many other people – among them many students and co-workers

With the help of God and the support of many people, I gradually learnt to grow into this great AMEN.

Through joy – sorrow – pain – bitter disappointment, failing, and success – being loved – loving – forgiving and asking for forgiveness.

With God’s help I will say the last AMEN alone, asking for mercy.
