November 8th, 2014, the day dawned with a song of praise in all our hearts. It was the Jubilee celebration of twelve of us; six golden Jubilarians and six silver Jubilarians.

The core of the celebration, however was the liturgy including the Morning Prayer and the Eucharistc celebration at noon, followed by a fellowship meal with all the invited guests, relatives and friends of the Jubilarians and a large number of Sisters who came to participate in the celebration.

The Morning Prayer with devout and melodious hymns and prayers lifted our spirits to our good and provident God, ever faithful. The prayers reflected our sincere gratitude to God as well as the sisters loving appreciation of our gifts, talents and contribution to the mission. So the province sang – “My life, a song of praise” to sum up our twenty five and fifty years of life as sisters of Notre Dame

The Eucharistic celebration was the crowning point of the day when all the sisters joined us to thank God for His marvellous deeds for us. His Excellency most  Rev. William D’souza, SJ, the Archbishop of Patna was the main celebrant. The highly inspiring homily, the deeply devotional and melodious singing and very meaningful prayers of the Jubilarians and the entrance dance by our young sisters, all made the Eucharistic celebration a celestial experience.

Large number of sisters, young and old, those who were sick and the recuperating, all came one by one with heart, hug and whisper blessings, wishing us with exuberant joy, anointing the Jubilarians. The spiritual impact of such anointing, the emotional empowering of such affection and the sheer joy of such celebration are powerful. The celebrations came to a halt with a fun-filled cultural programme. The Silver and Golden Jubilarians now carry font memories of this wonderful celebration. These are unforgettable experiences of our joyful simplicity and family spirit.
