Remembering all the Deceased Sisters with Gratitude and Hope

Incheon Regina Pacis Province observed November, the Month for the Deceased, to honor and celebrate the lives of our deceased Sisters during the deepening days of autumn. The falling leaves, having surrendered the freshness of vibrant summer, remind us of our lives on the earthly journey. Confident that death is not the end of our faith journey, we place our hope in the eternal life within God, our true home. In this spirit, the Church’s beautiful catechesis on ‘the communion of all saints’ invites us to reflect more deeply on the meaning and graces of this month.

During this congregational jubilee year, each community of the province honored all the sisters of Notre Dame who have gone before us, returned home to God, and now intercede for us with one heart. We remembered them through monthly faith-sharing, praying the Stations of the Cross, and other prayers for the deceased, as well as by visiting the cemetery to give thanks for their lives and the legacy they are left behind.

These prayerful moments offered a time to give thanks for our good God’s provident care and to contemplate the spiritual bond and communion that unite all the sisters of Notre Dame – both in heaven and on earth – through the communion of saints.
