Sisters of Notre Dame…Missioned to Incarnate the Love of our good and provident God

Congratulatory video for the Patronal Feast of Coesfeld Province

PDF Download

August 22 marks the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the patronal feast day of the Coesfeld Province, in England, the Netherlands, Italy, and Germany.

As we celebrate the 175th anniversary of the founding of our Congregation, we, the Sisters of Regina Pacis Province in Incheon, cannot help but think of the Coesfeld Province in Germany.

This is the cradle of the founding of the Congregation, bearing the traces and breath of Sisters Maria Aloysia and Maria Ignatia, and the early Sisters. The Coesfeld Province sent the first missionaries to Korea, thus passing on the spirit and legacy of Notre Dame to us. This year, the Coesfeld Province celebrates the 175th anniversary of Notre Dame’s presence.

The Sisters of Notre Dame in Korea have prepared a gift of gratitude and celebration, remembering this precious connection between Korea and Germany throughout our history. Although we speak different languages, the song “Ave Maria” we sing together beautifully unites the hearts of our two Provinces. We thank all the sisters who participated in this celebratory video, and we extend our sincere gratitude to the Incheon Province Digital Communications Team for producing it.

We also share our congratulatory gift to the Coesfeld Province with the Sisters of Notre Dame around the world.

We hope this will be a day to remember the sisters who have dedicated themselves to the mission in Korea.
