February 11, 2025, marked a significant day for our candidates as they received their candidate medals and stepped into the first level of their formation in Notre Dame. They had five days of immediate preparation sessions and confession conducted by Sr. Mary Manjushree, Sr. Leena Mary, and Fr. Ashok, Shandil SJ.
The prayer service was conducted at 3:30 pm on the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. The candidates namely, Sneha Kindo, Khushboo Kisku, Korsen Ekka, Abha Beck, Nisha Murmu, Shashikanti Ekka, Neetu Ekka, Mehak Tirkey, Sarita Hembrom, Sakshi Toppo, Naincy Kujur, Elina Digal, Nutan Ekka, Neha Tirkey, Shruti Kiran Ekka, Pratibha Tirkey and Srishti Ekka processed to the altar with lighted candles symbolizing Jesus as their light and guide. The appropriate readings (Mathew 4:18-22) and hymns added to the ambiance and the occasion on which marked the candidates’ next step. As the candidates received the medals from Sr. Mary Manjushree, the Delegation Superior of Christ the King Delegation, Ranchi, representing Sr. Mary Alice, the Provincial Superior, Assumption Province Patna, it was a Joyful moment for all of them and us.
We were glad to welcome seventeen new members to our Province. They are from Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. We appreciated the presence of our Sisters from the Bayangdih, Gumla, and Patna Communities. We are ever grateful to Sr. Mary Alice, Sr. Mary Manjushree, Sr. Mary Ranjita, Sr. Mary Neeta, Sr. Mary Sabeena, and all our Sisters for their prayers, blessings, and contributions to our Formees’ faith formation. The day ended with high tea shared among the sisters and candidates.
