What more does my heart desire than to meet you with rejoicing, who are life and give life.

We can put these words into Sister Maria Adelberta’s mouth now that she has been called by her Creator. She now knows the joy with which God awaits those who love him. And that is exactly what she did: She loved God.

Arnoldina Henrica grew up in Milheeze in a rural environment as the second oldest daughter with 7 siblings.

She filled her life in her own way, in various houses of the Congregation.

After an eight-year stay in Rome as an adoration sister, she returned to Tegelen and went to Maria Auxiliatrix in 1974 to complete a two-year course in nursing.

She then went to Wessem to work for 12 years in the care of the elderly.

In Helmond she took care of the kitchen and the house, followed by Milheeze.

After the house there was closed in 2002, she decided to live alone in the Marialaan, a senior care facility in Milheeze. She felt at home there right from the start.

She had enough hobbies to fill her time. She also helped to prepare the services in the retirement home and the parish church. She enjoyed taking part in activities.

In 2021, she decided to move to Tegelen. She missed the contact with her familiar surroundings. In recent weeks, she had to move to the “St. Julia” care facility in Tegelen for health reasons.

We are confident that she will now see the Lord for whom she has done everything.
