On August 17, 2024, Srs. Maria Agatha, Maria Joy, Maria Julianne, Maria Hanna and Maria Philippe made their first profession, and Srs. Maria Jolyn and Maria Faustina made their perpetual profession in Tan Dan Cathedral, Hochi Mihn City, during the Mass celebrated by Bishop Giuse Nguyen Nang.

The Mass began with a procession from the churchyard led by trumpet players and drummers according to the traditional Vietnamese liturgy. In the Cathedral, the parish choir welcomed the sisters with their rich singing.

Bishop Giuse gave a homily stating that the priority in religious life is Soli Deo, to seek and follow God alone and to remain in his love. Without this, it would be very hard to live the evangelical counsels.

The celebration continued with a feast at which the sisters, the newly professed sisters’ families, and guests shared their joy.

Since 2005, our communities in Vietnam have grown with about 30 native sisters engaging in various fields such as education, health care, social work, and catechesis, proclaiming God’s goodness and providential care. This growth became possible through God’s care along with prayers and the loving sacrifice of sisters in Incheon Province and the interest and support of all SNDs worldwide. Praise be to our good God who cares for us with his providence.
