Pilgrimage to Mülhausen

October 15, 2016

Saturday, October 15, found the Chapter members boarding the busses for Mülhausen, Germany at 7:30 a.m. We arrived in Mülhausen about 9:00 a.m. and received a warm welcome from the seventeen sisters living in the convent. After a coffee-break the sisters divided into three groups for tours of the convent, Villa Bongartz, Haus Salus and the cemetery. At 11:00 a.m. we celebrated Mass in the Chapel with Bishop Dr. Bündgens, the Auxiliary Bishop of Aachen. We enjoyed dinner together before continuing the tours. It was especially nice to visit with our sisters in House Salus. Everyone agreed that the opportunity to once more reconnect with our early years in the Congregation’s history and the visit with our sisters are memories to cherish.
