The Installation of the Provincial Team, Patna, India

The installation of Sister Mary Tessy, the new Provincial Superior of the Assumption Province and the Council members- Sister Mary Nishkalanka, Sister Mary Udaya, Sister Mary Alice and Sister Mary Anushila took place at the provincial house Chapel, Patna on February 2, 2017. It was a solemn moment when the outgoing provincial administration team and the new team processed up to the altar, led by Sister Mary Shikha carrying the Coesfeld Crucifix. Representatives from most of our 33 affiliations were present to witness this historic event.

The Installation ceremony took place during the Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Jose Maripuram, S.J., the Rector of St. Michael’s, Patna. Father gave a very inspiring and challenging homily on ‘Servant Leadership’. Sister Mary Beena officiated at the Installation Service, affirming Sister Mary Tessy, and the members of the Provincial Council. It was a touching moment when Sister Mary Tessy and the new Council turned to the Congregation and received the wholehearted support and affirmation from the community. There was much joy and celebration the whole day.
