Sharing Joy with the children, Bataan, Philippines

We, the novices from the Asia International Novitiate in Bataan, Philippines, seek to spend time with the poor children in our area. Twice a month we have a program with the children who are living in the dump site area.

At the beginning of our outreach program we just shared food with them. But gradually we included more activities. Each time, there is dancing, singing, and working on craft projects as well as catechesis, and lunch is also included.

On May 31, we invited children and parents to come to our house, and about 60 people attended. Our aim is to share our love and joy with them, and we also experience God’ presence through the children. We are grateful to our volunteers and benefactors whose support allows us to offer this program to the children who live close to us.
