‘Small but mighty’ would best describe translators Sister Maria Adelia Dannus from Canoas province Brazil and Sister Maria Klaudia Tjahjana from Jakarta province Indonesia. Over the past 25 years, whether as translator or member, each Sister has prepared for and/or participated in various General Chapters, General Conferences, International and every other meeting sponsored by our SND Congregation.  They also translated for the SND website from English to Portuguese and Indonesian and vice versa. Traveling all over the world has become second nature to them.  Most recently Sister Maria Adelia and Sister Maria Klaudia have resided at the Motherhouse, Rome, since February and March of 2016. They had been busy translating documents and materials in preparation for the General Chapter 2016 and then had been part of the translators team for the Chapter in Germany.

This time their travels take them separate ways.  On December 10^th Sister Maria Adelia returned to Brazil and in several weeks will travel to Peru as a missionary.  On December 11^th Sister Maria Klaudia returned to the Provincial Center in Jakarta and then travelled to the former Provincial Center in Pekalongan. Sister will continue as a translator and do some pastoral ministry visiting families and patients in the hospital.

Both have been blessed with many friends and fond memories and appreciate the opportunities they had to be of generous service to Our Lord and the SND Congregation.  Not only will they miss their sister friends in the Generalate and Motherhouse but their Sister friends will miss their presence, smile and generous service.  May God bless each one as they continue to live lives of dedicated service.
