Healthy People Build a Healthy Society

Medical Camp for TLG Groups of NABARD, Patna, India

Navjeevn Health Center, New Area, Sasaram, conducted a Mega Medical Camp in collaboration with NABARD Bank (National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development). The Health Center took this initiative to improve the quality of life of the poor and downtrodden of society by enabling them with preventive, promotive, and curative health care services. We arranged health check ups and investigations for haemoglobin levels to identify anaemia, GERD, and SIBO tests for chronic abdominal problems, pulmonary function tests (spirometry) for asthma and respiratory disorders, leprosy check ups, dental checks, and tuberculosis. We distributed free medicines to the needy.

We have a holistic, integrated approach to health care in our health center. We try to bring about a behavioral change in people through our counselling by stressing prevention of illness and life style modification. For this purpose we have wellness clinic, home remedies, physio-therapy, NUGA Korean massage therapy, acupressure, moxibustion, su jok, reflexology, regular bi-monthly medical camps for early detection of anaemia, pulmonary function, bone mineral density, GERD and SIBO for gastro intestinal problems, immunization for hepatitis B, and dental clinic. We also collaborate with Vitamin Angels, an organization that is dedicated to eradicate blindness by giving children vitamin A prophylaxis free of cost. When given to children, the major cause of blindness in our country can be brought under control.

Keeping our vision statement in mind, we work towards a just and equitable society where the right to quality health care becomes a reality for every citizen in the country. To make this happen we strongly believe in networking and collaboration with government and other likeminded organizations.
