East African Sisters Complete Spirituality Renewal

On July 28, 2014 our eight sisters participating in the sixth SND Spirituality Renewal said good-by to Sister Maria Julindis and Sister Mary Shauna as they boarded the plane in Dusseldorf for Nairobi and Entebbe.  The sisters were Sisters Mary Christine, Teresa, Paschalia, Magdalene, and Elizabeth from the Holy Spirit Delegation and Sisters Mary Immaculate, Juliet, and Theresa Marie from the Ugandan Mission.

The Sisters’ time in Europe included a one week visit to Rome and a three week stay in Coesfeld, Germany where they completed the two week workshop and one week retreat. The experience was something the sisters’ said they would never forget.  They deeply appreciated “going deeper” into our spirituality and grew in their appreciation of our founding story. They also had the opportunity to visit the sisters living in Vechta, Mulhausen and Coesfeld.  A deep respect and gratitude for all that our German Sisters have done and are doing for the Congregation marked each visit. The Sisters promised to carry on our mission and spirit in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania knowing they have the prayerful support of their “elder “sisters.
