Sister Mary Patricia Dorobek, our Congregational Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) Coordinator, has been involved in giving in-service presentations to our units since moving to the Generalate in late 2012. Her goal is to visit every major unit before the 2016 Chapter.  Between visits Sister is involved in the JPIC Commission of the Union of International Superior Generals (UISG) and the Union of Superior Generals (USG).  Sister is a member of three of the working groups: Anti-Trafficking, Refugees and Migrants, and the Integration of Creation, and is a member of the English-speaking Promoters Core Group.  The Refugees and Migrants Working Group shared with the English-speaking promotors on May 20, 2015. Sister Pat gave a general overview of the work and goals of the group and the reality for refugees and migrants. Sister Vicky shared an analysis of migration: a brief history, why people move, and the consequences. Sister Elisabeth shared her Rome community’s experience of iniviting refugees to share their home.
