On October 11 the Chapter members left Coesfeld at 7:30 a.m. for Namur, Belgium.  After a four-hour trip our two buses arrived at the Motherhouse of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. We were treated to a delicious dinner with the sisters living at the Motherhouse. There are approximately 25 sisters from different units of the Congregation living there.

After lunch we split into two groups, one began with a tour of the historical places in the city such as the Cathedral and the first house where St. Julie lived. The second group visited the new Heritage Exhibit that is housed in the previous chapel.  After an hour the groups changed venues.

All were grateful for the opportunity to visit the final resting place of St. Julie, see the exhibit and visit with our “cousins” the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
