ND Family Expressed Gratitude to Mario Paris on his Retirement, Rome, Italy

Any of you who have come to the Motherhouse, know our ever-faithful gardener, Mario Paris. After thirty-two years with us, he will be retiring as of December 31, 2017. It was only appropriate to honor him in a special way during our annual employee Christmas Dinner on December 22. Joining him was his sister, Mariangela and his niece, Esther. For his send-off, the Sisters prepared a special video which featured photos of Mario throughout the years and greetings from Sisters around the world who had been part of the Motherhouse community. He also received a Papal Blessing and an album of pictures recalling the memories of his years of service here. Mario and his family were truly touched and moved to tears. It is hard to imagine the Motherhouse grounds without seeing Mario watering the plants pushing his wheel barrow!

We were blessed to have him for so long and we know he and his family truly appreciated having us as part of their family.
